728 have been newly allotted (A similar number would have resigned from round 1) out of the total 2078 allotments.
Like already mentioned, mop up is purely random and is difficult to predict. However it may see some decent shifts as regularly seen, provided it is offline. This year there may be higher awareness of how good choices come out in mop up and so many many attend offline.
There are around 170+ TN candidates, who had opted for DNB and now have a TN seat. A % of these seats may be an will be added in addition to regular surrenders. (Some 30 to 40 good Paeds, Gen Med and RD DNB seats may be surrendered)
