Candidates for new clinical study qualify for meniscus implant

Dr. Andrew Cooper, a Orthopedic Surgeon at Salt lake Regional Medical Center, is starting a new clinical trial for a new procedure on torn meniscus. He talked to Nicea DeGering about who is a candidate for the study.

Candidates are those who have already had a meniscus surgery to trim it out and are still in pain. Many who have surgeries still have persisting pain evn after knee surgery. The new clinical trial is trying to see if a new implant can prevent and slow down pain and arthritis.
