Back to the History

An 82-year-old man presented to the emergency department with a 6-month history of worsening back and left hip pain. The pain did not radiate down his legs, but it occasionally woke him from sleep, was worse after activity, and was not relieved by bending forward.

Presented at the Clinical Pathological Conference Series, Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School — both in Boston.
