Hypotension on supine position in pregnancy is caused by the impingement of the Inferior Vena Cava by the enlarged gravid uterus which decreases preload and so cardiac output,
It can be evaded by changing that position as follow,
1, sleeping on left side or called lateral tilt position.
2,putting a pillow below right hip.
