iPhone X costs around 1000 $ in USA(64000) and appendectomy(a surgical procedure to remove appendix) on an average costs around 22000$ (13-14 lac ₹) and in Germany around 3500$ ( 2.24 lac₹)
In India an iPhone X costs around 1lac₹ and an appendectomy at majority hospitals from 20-25000 ₹ to an average of max up to 50000₹ in very costly place might reach to 90000₹.
I can’t exactly understand what people of this nation wants from a doctor. This is something really very dubious and wrong about indian psychology in general. (Also to note unlike US or germany where instruments and equipments are either manufactured in there own nations we indian doctors in general have to import the same instruments and equipment after paying high excise duties much higher price than what they are available in developed world and still we are not asking even a fraction of what the rest of the world is paying for same procedures elsewhere)
