What is the scope of DNB Family Medicine in our country ?
Like barefoot doctor in other countries and ANGANWADI in India… sry just kidding
It’s good in non metro and people who have own set up
U ll ve to do GP 4 lifetime which u can do with mbbs as well . In big cities everyone ll go specialists and u ll be treated as mbbs or slightly above mbbs but bellow md dnb medicine
In India people seek Specialists and super -specialists these days. But a day will come when the model followed in USA and UK will be followed here and family medicine will become the backbone of the health system. But currently not much scope in tier 1 cities. But you can practice in tier 2 or tier 3 cities and develop a good practice.
Jack of all trades. Master of none… Just kidding… You must love the subject. Then only choose… Just for a sake to get a seat… Pls dont take. Coz family physician is entriely different from wht we see… we have to do home cares, camps, apart from normal duty of a doctor and refer the patient in right time to dept specialist
