Supreme Court Stayed Revert back of All India Quota seats of NEET PG counseling to States

Supreme court of India today while hearing to the writ petition filed by NEET PG aspirants doctors stayed the reverting back of the MD /MS seats of the All India Quota

Justice S.A. Bobde and Justice Nageshwar Rao while listening to the W.P.© No.357 of 2018 and 361 of 2018 of the petitioners represented by Senior counsel Amarendra Sharan and Advocate on record Amit Kumar made this observation

There shall be stay of reversion of the seats by the Central Government to the State Government/s until further orders. List these matters on 27.04.2018 for further hearing.
In the meantime, the respondents may file their respective reply affidavit, if any.

There were several glitches and mishandling in the process of counseling of NEET PG and due to this thousand of seats were blocked and by the high rank, candidates to benefit their respective states. It was also observed that few high-rank candidates took money from lower rank candidates of the states to block seats for reverting back. Some of the candidates took the same seat from both central counseling and state counseling and some candidates took the same seat as in round 1 after surrendering of the seat.

Malpractice in counseling was actually promoted by certain policies of Ministry of health counseling committee.
