NEET PG 2018 – The result of the mop-up round of counselling conducted for Deemed and Central Universities by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has been released on May 19, 2018. The cut offs of NEET PG 2018 have been revised on April 27, 2018. The NEET PG 2018 cut offs have now been reduced by 15 percentile for each category to enable more candidates to apply for the counselling of NEET PG 2018. Unreserved NEET PG candidates now only need to secure a minimum of 35 percentile (reduced from 50 percentile) while SC/ST/OBC candidates need to score a minimum of 25 percentile (reduced from 40 percentile) to qualify for NEET PG 2018 counselling. Accordingly, PwD candidates have to score a minimum of 30 percentile (reduced from 45 percentile). The corresponding NEET PG 2018 cut off scores have now been reduced to 262 from 321 for Unreserved candidates, 225 from 281 for Reserved Category candidates and to 244 from 300 for PwD candidates.

The DGHS had previously resumed the counselling process of NEET PG 2018, including the NEET PG 2018 counselling second round admission process. Earlier, an interim order issued by Madras High Court on April 17, 2018 had stayed the counselling process but the same has now been dismissed. Candidates were allowed to report to their allotted colleges till April 23, 2018. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first counselling, but were unable to get an upgraded seat choice in round two, could resign from allotted seats till 5:00 PM on April 19, 2018. The round two of NEET PG counselling started on April 11, 2018 and its seat allotment result was published on April 14, 2018.

The DGHS had earlier revised the schedule of NEET PG 2018 second round of counselling. DGHS released the revised provisional result of NEET PG Counselling Round 1 2018 on March 29, 2018. The result of NEET PG 2018 Round 1 counselling as was published on March 28, 2018 by DGHS, was rendered null and void, due to some inadvertent technical errors. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) had previously also revised the counselling schedule of NEET PG 2018 and has once again introduced changes to the NEET PG Counselling schedule.

MCC started the registration process for NEET PG 2018 counselling on Saturday, March 17, 2018. The link to register and complete details about the process of registration was made available here. The choice filling session for NEET PG 2018 counselling started on Monday, March 19, 2018. NEET PG 2018 counselling registration was available till 5.00 PM on March 26, 2018. Candidates registering for NEET PG counselling had to provide their NEET PG 2018 roll number, application number, name, mother’s name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number while registering.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) had earlier released the scorecards of candidates eligible to participate in All India Quota (AIQ), Central and Deemed Universities’ counselling of NEET PG 2018. NEET PG 2018 AIQ rank and scorecard were released by the NBE on February 26, 2018. The merit list of NEET PG 2018 was released roll number-wise on February 16, 2018. The NBE had earlier announced the rank card of NEET PG 2018 on February 15, 2018. The merit list of NEET PG AIQ seats was also declared separately. Only those candidates who qualified NEET PG 2018 are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The result of NEET PG 2018 was announced on January 23, 2018, which now stands revised as per the April 27 notification.
