National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG

NEET PG 2018 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the merit list of NEET PG 2018 on February 15. It has already declared the result of the entrance test on January 23. To download NEET PG 2018 merit list, candidates must click on the link given on this page. NEET PG merit list 2018 has the names of only those candidates who achieved minimum qualifying percentile in the entrance test that was conducted on January 7. The conducting authority has released the merit list of postgraduate entrance exam after applying the tie-breaking policy. Through the merit list of NEET PG 2018, NBE will conduct admission to around 35,000 seats in Masters in Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes taught at various medical colleges across India. NBE has also released the NEET PG 2018 cutoff to shortlist eligible aspirants for admission to postgraduate medical courses. General category candidates must secure 50 percentile to qualify the exam. Based on the cutoff of NEET PG 2018, the authority has published the merit list for admission to 50% All India Quota seats. Moreover, state authorities will also use NEET PG cutoff for preparing state merit list for seat allotment in both government and private medical colleges. NEET PG 2018 was conducted in a single session and had a total of 300 multiple choice questions. The overall duration of the test was 3 hours and 30 minutes. It was held for a total of 1200 marks. 4 marks were awarded for answering each correct question and 1 mark deducted from the candidate’s overall score for each incorrect answer. Aspirants securing minimum cutoff score for All India Quota seats will be called for NEET PG 2018 counselling process for admission to around 6200 MD/MS seats. NEET PG 2018 Result

NBE announced NEET PG 2018 result on January 23, 2018. The result has been announced only for candidates who secured minimum qualifying marks in the online entrance examination. To download score card of NEET PG 2018, candidates must enter their testing ID, date of birth and security pin in the required space. NEET PG result 2018 displays the names of candidates score obtained (out of 1200), rank, qualifying status etc. The hardcopy of NEET PG result will not be sent to candidates.
NEET PG 2018 Cutoff

The cutoff of NEET PG 2018 is the minimum marks that a candidate must secure to qualify the entrance examination. NEET PG 2018 cutoff depends on various factors such as number of candidates who appeared in the exam, availability of seats, the difficulty level of entrance test etc. As per the officials, the candidates belonging to general category must secure minimum of 50 percentile to qualify the exam. Whereas, candidates from reserved category and PH category must secure a minimum of 40 and 45 percentile, respectively.
