If u can focus continuous for 6 years training in ctvs from start, then go for it. Otherwise if your not passionate about this, then choosing a direct 6 yr course acc to me is a wrong choice. Rest depends on u
See the future and then go fr ctvs … Narayana has 8 pg1 positions … Just see how many above you are there …so cutting chances have already gone down over there for past 3 to 4 years … Rabindranath is relatively new …though it has the tag of being a branch of Narayana …but is nowhere near in terms of patient load and cutting chances …stipend in Narayana is 25 27 29 35 40 nd 45 k in Kolkata it’s 5 k more every year … After doing ctvs you wil have to spend almost your entire work life in corporate hospitals that too big ones…hardly there are procedures nt done by cardiologists…one area valvular repair where ctvs specialists took pride in is also being done by cardiologists now through minimal invasive surgery like evar … Weigh your options …weigh if you really want it …just because you filled the option and got it so you got to take it … All the best

First of all stipend is 38k, 42k, 45k, 48k, 50k and 52k in respective years. CTV’s is a good branch but take only if you are really interested. I took rntagore in 2015 dnb but I left it. Reason were 2. One the cutting was not good and they mobilized pgts to their newly opened branches as medical officers. But if you are consistent enough then you may get through any subject. So think before you choose.
6year course and that too with CTVS is the worst combination , u LL have to put double the effort u put in NEET PG prep every day of your life till u r name is established in the field of CTVS !!
