Overview
HIV continues to contribute to substantial morbidity and mortality worldwide, with an estimated 1.3 million deaths due to HIV in 2013. Because morbidity from HIV is poorly understood, we aimed to determine the contribution of different comorbidities to hospitalization and in-hospital mortality among adults and children living with HIV worldwide.
