A 55-year-old was thrown off his motorbike after being hit by a car. He was not wearing a helmet and hit his head on the pavement. EMS was on the scene within minutes and found the individual to be responsive with a GCS of 13. He was stabilized and brought to the emergency room. Within a few minutes of arrival, his GCS dropped to 8 and he required immediate intubation. It appeared that the patient also had a left femur fracture.
